Celebrating Women Pioneers, Journalists, & Entrepreneurs Influencing Technology History

Women’s History Month is an exciting time of year as we spotlight exceptional women driving change and advancing the business landscape. This year, we’re launching a campaign titled Women Influencing Technology History (WITH), which will pay tribute to women who have significantly impacted journalism, business, and technology. One of our goals at Promova is to give back and empower girls and women in the professional services space and support organizations that further the advancement of women in STEM.

Our signature pioneers we are celebrating this year are Ada Lovelace, Hedy Lamarr, Annie Easley, and Katherine Johnson!

We will spotlight influential journalists throughout the month on our social media channels. Be sure to follow us at @getpromova to share in the celebration of these remarkable women!

Additionally, we are proud to support Black Girls CODE, Project Scientist, and Big Dreams Bloom this year!

Black Girls CODE is a not-for-profit organization that builds pathways for young women of color in technology and provides computer programming and technology education. They aim to provide greater opportunities for black women and girls and establish equal representation in the technology sector.

Project Scientist is a non-profit organization created to change the world’s view of “who” a scientist is and “what” a scientist does. The organization aims to transform the STEM field by nurturing and developing the next generation of girl scientists.

Big Dreams Bloom is a virtual STEM program designed for young elementary girls focused on empowering them and exploring the lives of influential women in history. The program includes fun and engaging maker-style workshop activities with a strong emphasis on art and science. The after-school program provides various options for virtual and in-person camps that feature STEM-oriented high school or college students who mentor young girls in the STEM field and encourage future involvement in the industry.

Lastly, we’re excited to reveal the launch of our new cloud-based tool, Find a Rainmaker! It is the only cloud-based tool focused on assessing behavioral traits of people who would do well working with the media, developing leads, analyzing strategy, fueling creativity, and closing deals. We are excited to help businesses #gofar! Let us know if you would like a demo.

We hope everyone celebrates #WITH us this month and beyond as we celebrate fierce women leaders who have shaped the journalism, business, and tech space!
