Don’t Obsess About Using AI, Obsess About Having a Strategy

As law firms head into the second half of the year, many are balancing consistent pressures such as rate sensitivity, demand variability and talent movement alongside a newer accelerant: AI agents. These challenges brought chief marketing officers, business development leaders, legal tech executives and in-house counsel to New York City on June 4 for Passle’s 2026 CMO Series Livea one-day forum focused on growth strategies, collaboration and the operational realities of adopting AI inside law firms. 

A consistent message emerged across sessions and conversations: Do not obsess about using AI. Obsess about having a strategy.
