From One Honest Logo Conversation to a Shared Vision
Every brand has an origin story. Some begin with a business plan. Some begin with a bold idea. Ours began with a name, a friendship, and one very honest conversation.
Before Promova had a full visual identity, a website, or the presence it has today, it had something equally important: a clear sense of purpose. Ioana Good was starting a public relations consultancy after years of building deep communications expertise in-house, managing PR agencies and working as a journalist. She was ready to create something rooted in smart strategy, meaningful relationships, and a more thoughtful, transparent way to serve clients.
She called it Promova.
The name carries exactly the energy she wanted to bring into the world. In Romanian (her native language) and Latin, Promova means to grow, propel, and advance. Pull it apart, it becomes “Promo” and “Va”: promotion and value. It’s a name that speaks to movement, momentum, and measurable impact.
It’s a name with direction. A name with optimism. A name that is inclusive to anyone who wants to be a part of it and help move people, ideas, and businesses forward.
But once the name was in place, there was still the matter of the logo.
Ioana reached out to Adrien Maines, a close friend, colleague, brand strategist, and designer. The two had spent more than a decade working together in-house, building trust, sharpening ideas, and learning how to balance strategy with creativity.
Ioana wanted Adrien’s opinion on a logo concept she was considering.

The original Promova logo!
Adrien gave her the kind of feedback only a close friend and trusted creative partner would give.
“Don’t take this the wrong way,” she said, “but this looks like a daycare logo.”
It was direct. It was honest. And, most importantly, it came from a place of care.
And with that, the next chapter of Promova began.
A Name with Momentum. A Brand with Purpose
The original idea behind Promova was never to create another PR agency. For Ioana, Promova is about helping clients tell their stories, generate thought leadership pieces that earn meaningful visibility, and communicate when things are challenging.
From the onset, the mission has been to help organizations communicate with clarity, confidence, and purpose — not simply to be seen, but to be understood.
For Adrien, the opportunity carried a visual and strategic brand that could match her ambition. A brand that felt sophisticated, modern, and clear. It was a brand that could carry both the intelligence of the work and the humanity behind it.
So, they began developing a new look for Promova. But as the creative process unfolded, something bigger became clear.
This was not a branding project focused on colors, typography, or a more polished mark. It was the beginning of a deeper creative and strategic partnership.
Promova was becoming a shared vision.
A More Complete Way to Serve Clients
As Promova’s identity took shape, so did a bigger idea: clients need more than visibility. They need clarity, consistency, and a story that holds together everywhere it appears.
That is where PR and branding naturally meet.
A strong brand gives a company a clear identity. Strategic communications help that identity earn attention, trust, and momentum. When the two work together, clients are better equipped to show up with confidence in the market, in the media, and with the audiences that matter most.
That thinking helped shape Promova into what it is today: a partner for organizations that communicate with purpose and grows with intention.

Building Promova Around Shared Values
From the beginning, Ioana and Adrien wanted to create the kind of environment where good people could do excellent work without sacrificing respect, transparency, or trust.
They wanted Promova to be a place where team members felt heard and supported. Where ideas are welcome from every seat at the table. Where collaboration was not a buzzword, but the way the work actually gets done.
They wanted to build an agency where creativity had structure, strategy had heart, and people felt empowered to bring their best thinking forward.
They also wanted to build relationships with clients grounded in honesty, clarity, and mutual respect. No unnecessary mystery or performative complexity. Just smart people doing meaningful work together.
That meant being clear about recommendations. Transparent about the process. Thoughtful about goals. And committed to work that served a real purpose.
Those values became the foundation for how Promova operates internally and externally.
Eventually, those values evolved into the Precepts featured on Promova’s About page today, a set of guiding principles that reflect who we are, how we work, and what we believe.
They are working principles — ideas that shape conversations, decisions, partnerships, and the standard to which Promova holds itself every day.
Those ideas have guided Promova from its earliest days to where it stands now.
A Mission with Infinite Possibilities
Promova’s mission can be summed up in one line:
Good People. Great Clients. Infinite Possibilities.
It is more than a tagline. It is the belief that drives the agency.
Good work starts with good people. Those who are talented, thoughtful, accountable, and kind. People who care about the quality of the work and the relationship. A team that understands that the best results come from collaboration.
At Promova, “good people” does not mean perfect people. It means people with integrity. People who listen closely, think deeply, speak honestly, and show up with care.
Great clients make that work possible. Promova partners with organizations that are ready to grow, open to new ideas, and communicate with purpose. Clients who value strategy and are willing to think bigger. Clients who understand that strong stories are built consistently over time.
They are the clients who believe communication is not an afterthought. It is how trust is built. It is how ideas travel. It is how companies earn attention, deepen relationships, and create lasting impact.
And when good people and great clients come together, the possibilities are infinite.
